The Unplugged idea has its charm, especially for musicians who otherwise only play electric guitar and stand on stage with huge amplifiers. The Nirvana Unplugged is awesome. In Neil Young it is not really a new idea. Very often he played his songs only on the acoustic guitar, the piano or on the organ. Especially recommended: Live at Massey Hall! For Neil Young fans, there are two special highlights on Unplugged: Transformer you (without vocoder and synthesizer!) And the hitherto unpublished Stringman, a great song from the seventies about Stephen Stills. For casual listeners are particularly The Old Laughing Lady, Helpless and Long May You Run recommended - yes, so nice to Neil Young songs sound! Other artists have certainly played in a television concerts more hits. Heart of Gold, Southern Man and Old man would have this album certainly brings more buyers. But they are missing, like the MTV logo on the cover. Neil Young is just not a living jukebox, but a living legend! A melancholic concert from a time when MTV still played music and not moronic shows.
