Already the opener "Live Today" with a weight of only 8 words text I was impressed - powerful, varied and energetic. And so it goes on. The 2.Song completes the motto of the CD: "The Tomorrow" - Live as if it were your last day! And it seems as if wanted to Lord Of The Lost bear the motto not only outwardly, but have used when designing the album itself, because there are many new things to discover on the album. The first time is to hear Chris "The Lord" Harms in a duet with Ulrike Goldmann (Blutengel), as well as Alex Wesselsky (icebreaker) for "Your Victory" and Erk Aircrag (Hocico, Rabia Sorda) at "Marching Into Sunset". There are ballads, pop songs, much harder numbers usual guitar storms, unusual electronic sounds, strings, giving the whole something epic and dramatic - in short, an absolutely successful mix of the familiar and the new. Above all, they have done it again, what I miss in many other bands: after the first few seconds you know what song is currently running, no possible confusion. Every song is unique and very individual.
And then there was "Letters to Home" - a nearly 20min epic in 5 parts. This is not only a long song, these are the very emotional thoughts and experiences of a father who left home and child to go to war. Absolutely clearly told so automatically expired a movie in my mind. Each of the 5 parts is both musically and content a chapter in itself and yet all united at the end to form a complete, harmonious masterpiece. Very impressive !!!
Conclusion: This album takes a on a journey through all emotional worlds, one encounters many musical styles which are perfectly matched. It's like a journey through the forces of nature - each one is different, yet they belong together - and you're just fascinated by their forces.
My recommendation: BUY - Listen, and several times, otherwise it will remain a one or the other details hidden.
