High power consumption, short cable

The Gigaset customer service told me to request that the phone has a power consumption 5-7 watts. No rümlicher consumption, thus this value is not listed on the website or in the manual. That makes at 23 cents / kWh converted 10 to 14 Euro Electricity costs per year, solely for this phone!
The power supply cable should be 1.20 m long and the telephone cable only 1,50m. In addition, the display is not illuminated.

Especially wegem the fairly high power consumption, I then decided to use a cordless Gigaset phones with voicemail, because the cordless Gigaset phones often less than 1 Watt power consumption (ie max. 2 Euro Electricity costs per year).
