The game itself should not be subject here, there are enough reviews on the side of the Standard Edition.
For CE itself:
It obtained an approximately 30x23cm thick packet that both the packaging as well as CE board is per se and can be folded to double size, where it then measures ca.46x30cm. After removing the inlays it represents the board as the game "Tabula" that is reminiscent of Backgammon away!
The game pieces are lovingly packed in a jute bag in linen and made of hard plastic. There are also 3 very handsome, antiqued trimmed cube. This is due inter alia the dice game "tesserae" play.
The attached card game "Punic Wars" includes 58 playing cards with the typical ancient "design" that game shall apply also in the display of the unit types.
For 3 games is a readable, 4-page rule booklet.
The fabric card (probably linen with pressure), the card in play by then Europe is incl. All provinces and their designations. Very nicely done and not cheap, even adorns my wall ;-)
Since then the kit of a Roman Onagers. Again convinced the quality of the used (wood) material. Even assembled I have the Onager not yet, therefore no statement to me to its functionality!
Last course the game on 3 DVDs that comes along in a very neat, silver Steelbook. The serial number is printed on the front page under the logo of the CE, though a bit difficult to decipher.
For me it is the I)) (I) ((IV and I still do not know what number it should be!
In Steelbook the three DVDs are neatly arranged and easy to remove, this is joined by a 22-page booklet with a rudimentary game instructions.
Due to the really very good quality content that thematically great fit for the game, the CE receives despite the relatively high price (which is however already fallen by about 30 to about 100) 5 stars from me.
A chic provided with very ziehrbaren objects CE!
