By introducing emotion as a given inherited from our ancestors, the author challenges our old control automation, leak and ignorance of it. Through a thoughtful approach, close to the third wave of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies, Mr Kotsou offers a set of simple exercises to explore the emotions that we live every day and learning a new way to deal with them . This notebook is a beautiful way to self-acceptance, emotions and feelings, and the other in the beauty of its fully human imperfection. The message I get from my reading is that, through careful listening and caring emotions, we can break free of the autopilot at the service of acting in a direction that matters to us. Paradoxically, by making a place, welcoming our feelings, we free ourselves from their grip. It is a book in nice style, humourous moment and at other times tinged with a deep humanity (Altruism) while remaining resolutely practical. I will not put this book on my shelf of bibliotherapy, but not too far. This is a good extension of how the empirically supported clinical psychology approaches human difficulties. It wants more after reading, but small notebooks are small ... so accueillions frustration. Thank you.
