All Guns n 'Roses fans, this book is an absolute must. It is sauehrlich, loosely written and sometimes pretty darn funny. Slash's youth, BMX career, escapades, highest heights and deepest depths in guns, drug abuse, internal and external conflicts ... all read here. Slash does away with the ever hanging in the air rumors to GNR. Detail accurately and honestly describing his volatile and extremely ambivalent relationship with Axl. Here he seems never cynical, resentful or sarcastic. Rather, he pays him a lot of respect for his musical abilities, but also clearly tells why he has the Guns '96 turned their backs. It is thus no billing, no veiled criticism or the like. There are just the bare facts, just as he has experienced. So the story of one of the greatest rock icons retells vividly and humorously. In addition, the reader learns a lot about the musical backgrounds of Guns, their roots, the rock n 'roll scene in LA 80s and relations with numerous other bands and musicians.
