The Nieto Manolina is a simple, honest work knife. The only decoration is the brass ring around the Achsniete, on the left side. No boards, no shoes - just two ironwood handles, a spring back and the blade. Ironwood is not to be confused with the much rarer and more expensive Ironwood! But it is nevertheless distinguished by its hardness and density, good for knife handles. With a total length of almost 18 cm and weighing only 40g, it is relatively easy and can be worn comfortably in the trouser pocket. The blade is suitable with 7.6 cm and an edge of 6.8 cm for all light to medium cutting tasks. The handle with 10.2 cm provides hands to glove size 9 a full four-finger grip. The knife is has a slip joint - or slip joint. The blade is thus not locked after opening. For normal use, it is still safe to use. The built-in half-stop prevents the unintentional closing, the blade may fall directly on the finger. The House of Steel Nieto is the AN.58. He is not one of the most modern and best steels which could be used for a knife. But for a simple pocketknife he is sufficient.
