This was followed by the attachment of the mSATA SSD and the assembling of the housing. Now came the moment of truth.
Directly on the mainboard worked my mSATA SSD properly. Built in QUMOX housing and connected via SATA 2 drive as there was in Windows 7 already in formatting problems. Then I did a test with H2testw v1.4 and there was writing and reading errors without end. The QUMOX case was therefore defective, which at reconnecting without the housing, where H2testw v1.4 reported no errors, confirmed.
The defective QUMOX case was withdrawn easily from Amazon and refunded the money. I ordered no second copy, because my thing with the interposed adapter is too risky. I do not know if my copy was a Monday device or whether a larger batch is concerned, but already processing the board made me suspicious.
Since the other / previous reviews have been positive, I could just have been unlucky, or the quality has diminished significantly at some point. Possibly has affected a whole lot, but it could also be that the new board design causes more problems.
