Korpiklaani have already understood in their last album, capture their impressions of their lives and everyday life in Finland with their music. Contact with "Voice of Wilderness" the Finnish men back now to allow the listener further insight. Prissy is not the point to the point, and who knows Korpiklaanis countrymen Finntroll or Ensiferum, know what is being discussed. The music is wild and rough as the country, and instead of a cozy campfire, there is quick and rousing songs, forcing to dance to this same fire, supported by violin, flute and Jonnes unmistakable vocals. Influenced by Humppa gallop the songs there, and we think the tape to the right see the forest omitted celebrating, amidst the cold and rough nature of Finland. "Cottages & Saunas" begins with an innocent violin melody, but quickly caught up by the guitars, and even raises the notorious Humppa rhythm. Time to relax there's not, "Journey Man" goes with drums eddy harder to the point, the Fidel hunts there, is measured by the singing, at the end there's still Flötentöne in an unusual pace and the end sounds like the angry groans trolls who practice in their drinking ability. "Fields in Flames" is not quite as fast, it may air be brought, for resting there in the mid-tempo song but no reason. A flute introduces the next song, sounds almost after a hymn, and after a few bars there's already what to dance again. The number comes without vocals from, has its main focus on flute and guitar. In the middle part guitars employ that sound like a guest performance of Iced Earth or Iron Maiden, but shortly after that is again by the folk. "Spirit of the Forest" goes back to the mid-tempo range, the intro and the voices in the background are reminiscent of shamanic chants. Actually the song for the first album was intended, but was rearranged several times now and found its place here. "Native Country" is a hymn to the rough Finland, and the music expresses exactly made, bulky, wild and yet very catchy, with accordion and double bass. "Hunting Song" is the definite highlight of the album, an accordion intro is misleading, but immediately afterwards Jonne Järvelä begins with a paean to the hunt in the woods. A pleasure for all headbangers. For this song the way, there is also a video! After the instrumental "Ryyppäjäiset" follows "Beer, Beer", the second secret climax. Here at last is feared, moshing and around (albeit virtual) danced fire, this is about the foundation of each feast, there is shouting and interruptions's just for the next sip, and no later than the end of the song, each still so drunk troll the still sing along text. With "Old Tale" there's a rather short break, because after the first half of the song, the thunder starts again and the number turns into a defiant ballad. "Kädet Siipina" is the acoustic grand finale, Jonnes song is only of flutes and drums accompanied and is exactly the right one to adopt a social round worthy. In Korpiklaani melancholy dark winter days has no place, who freezes, drinking and jumping to the tune of Fidel. The Finns bring Folk Metal at its best from their excursions into the woods with, tell stories and sing praises to the beer. The austere romanticism of this album turns the rest of even the smallest open fire to a huge party.
