What the French-Swedish-American team has delivered with his debut album, is very great retro rock ears cinema. Why is Blues Pills now no hype. There are several reasons, of course, include the very good songs to the same I still eingehe. Primarily, it is but the really good musicians who have recorded the songs.
Singer Elin Larsson believes in a voice which has both the rock foundation of a Janis Joplin, and the soulful voice of Aretha Franklin. The grade times age guitarist Dorian Sorriaux has a great guitar tone and playing with so much feeling, as you would probably have expected at a twice as old guitarist. The Rhythmusduo Andersson and Berry made music together before in already with Radio Moscow and weaves thus almost naturally a fairly dense and thrilling sound foundation on which guitarist and singer shine.
And the songs? They are all pretty high-class and bridge the gap between the '74 California Jam Festival and the recent Rock Hard Open Air, are on what Blues Pils also occurred.
A few of the songs were probably already be heard on the band's EPs, but to have been well revised for the album again. Since I do not know the EPs, I can give to the changes no comments. The first is Ohrenöffner High Class Woman, Classic Hard Rock is on offer here, the band shows how well she can pack a lot of dynamics in a song with quiet and fast song parts. Is not No Change sounds like a jam session, which evolves into a song. Black Smoke is perhaps the most outstanding song on the album, here shows the band how to celebrate in a modern way classic rock music, otherwise than according to lean on any trends.
They were just three examples from an album which has no gaps. Blues Pills can every fan of honest rock music only to heart.
