The originating from North Carolina brothers Seth and Scott have now managed quite rightly made it into the international arena of music business. The album 'I and Love and You' deals mainly with matters of the heart, but - and thank goodness! - Not interpreted in classical Schmusepopart. Rather, the Avett Brothers their previous styles stay true - namely an inspiring blend of country, folk and rock. In this case, a winning formula, it seems to me. In Rolling Stone declared Seth Avett to the title song 'I and Love and You' "If your heart is broken, one begins to dull, to build a protective wall around itself [..].". He may well be right. But this album is the complete opposite of jaded, but finally another way to deal with love frustration! Conclusion: a very successful work with earwig qualities - and the latter is absolutely meant positively!
