For camera: Design good, feel good, good material quality, completely silent Zoom (. A novelty for me So far I had always Canon cameras that are hard to miss when zooming).
For image quality:
Outdoor shooting in broad daylight without zoom good
Outdoor shooting in broad daylight with Zoom: focus problems; Focusing takes several seconds (snapshots so impossible) and make it often does not, sharp focus and delivers only blurred images.
This is worse the more you zoom. With 12x zoom, it's a gamble to shoot a clear image.
At dusk the images are blurred by the Bank.
Indoors, even in good lighting, it is a gamble: times sharp, sometimes blurred.
Indoors under normal lighting conditions you need the camera does not even turn: The images are still blurry. Focusing takes infinitely long and provides unsatisfactory results.
The film quality is average at best. I made a test recording in bright sunshine and the picture was quite blurred and noisy. This has unfortunately nothing to do with HD quality.
The operation is very cumbersome lack wheel. If you want to change the mode only helps the transition to the menu. That's pretty annoying and the menus are not exactly clearly arranged.
For battery life, which is often criticized, I can not say anything, as long as I have not tested. After 50 unsuccessful images I had had enough.
I do not want to give the impression to be superpingelig here now.
I have used no digital SLR for comparison.
I just wanted a small camera that shoots good photos in automatic mode.
And that can not Samsung!
So far, I had a little Canon PowerShot A1200.
Which is comparable to the Samsung. Regarding haptics and quality me the Samsung like better, but Canon provides much (!) Better pictures in all walks of life (even at dusk) and has a much more elaborate Bedieungskonzept.
Too bad.
A really nice camera, but due to the unacceptable image quality from me only one star.
