The nice thing about the boxes is that they are both suitable for storing foods in the refrigerator or in the freezer as well as for browning in the oven or warm up in the microwave. The cans and the lid can be washed in the dishwasher, the washing program normal. The extra hot program I have not tried with the lids. I hope they do not warp in how me this has already happened with other makes. Since I am rather cautious.
The plastic cover has on the inside a rubber seal that fit the glass rim of the can clings upon closing. Through the four clips, which are reinforced below with blue plastic, the can really be absolutely tightly. I have filled with marinated mushrooms in oil, in other doses often organize me a mess when you tilt the refrigerator times. It's not a bit run out of oil, even if I put the bowl on the side and the lid has not discolored.
In the larger shells I have kept the remains of soups, also because I could move the boxes as desired, it is not leaked.
To find out if the cans are really ovenproof, I cooked lasagna, cauliflower and Nudelgratins.
These may be the lid of course it can not, because it is made of plastic.
It is very convenient that you radicals may be in the can to cool and then the lid on it and so in the refrigerator. To warm up I use depending on the degree of browning of gratins the oven with aluminum foil over it or something I shut the box with microwave foil and use the microwave.
If you, the food promptly after cooling in the refrigerator, keep the cans really fresh. I have also prepared desserts so, for example, tiramisu. That was fine for 3 days.
To test whether the doses are truly odor-tight, I kept right next to a small tiramisu extremely stinky cheese, I have only one special Kaseglocke normally. The entire refrigerator has stinky without end, but the fruits Tiramisu has gotten no little thing.
I have introduced the glass cans primarily for storage of fatty leftovers. Since I cook every day several times, there is always a lot of small groups which are then eaten as a snack like. Through the transparent glass can be seen in the same refrigerator that is in it. This is much less forget something.
I prefer to use my large can now for cake. I like to take something sometimes Homemade with the work, but the large plates are often too great to me and also too bulky to transport. The large EMSA box with dimensions 27 x 20 x 7 cm just the right size to take for 4- 5 people something break with cake. When the cake is done and cooled, the lid comes over it, and so it can be taken along wonderfully. Also for at home I'm doing lately instead of muffins often times brownies or fruit cake.
The disadvantage of the EMSA glass jar is literally at hand. The doses are through the thick glass quite heavy and naturally fragile. Where you have you probably already down thunder on really hard ground until they break.
If you buy the cans sent, you can make each other in the cabinet and the cover then it or next to it. I now have both rectangular such as square. The take quite a bit of space away in the closet.
I am very pleased with the EMSA glass cans. They are versatile and so far seems to be quite resilient. I'll replace my sorted plastic containers gradually through glass cans, but should like to renounce not quite on plastic for some purposes.
