Iggy Pop was at that time already 10 years in business, but the album sounds very fresh, even from today's perspective.
The absence of the other Stooges manifests itself at any time.
I personally like the album very well - not only because "The Passenger" - only on "Tonight" I could do without (as is the collaboration with Bowie but very audible). "Lust for Life", "Sixteen" and the aforementioned "The Passenger" are the highlights, but really there is not a bad song, as one may Bowie.
