In 70s rock, this album is an absolute must!

The official live album after the first two studio albums. Originally on double vinyl, here as Einzeil CD - without Outtakes! The tour was still in the brilliant cast Blackmore - Dio - Powell - Bain - Carey has performed and recorded. For me it's an absolute killer album, the live interpretations make the studio recordings all in the shade.
"Kill The King" - starts with the typical Rainbow Concert Intro "Over The Rainbow" from the eponymous movie starring Judy Garland. Then the drums set and the concert begins. Always with Power! Kill The King was on the tour already the opener, though it was as a studio version not to have (appears on the following album "Long Live Rock'n'Roll" 1978 - but without Tony Carey and Jimmy Bain).
"Man on the Silver Mountain" Medley -. Including a "Blues" song (on any studio album) and Starstruck Dio plays with his voice, loosens the rock classics on (what he does today at his concerts with alternating pieces of his career) . Class sung!
"Catch The Rainbow" - over 15 minutes ballad at its finest, the ingenious symbiosis between Blackmore and Dio. A ballad that starts very quietly that much more goes live under skin, guitar and voice are so harmonious and soulful. Dio constantly changes from head to chest voice, and vice versa, it's just such a pleasure.

"Mistreated" - from the Deep Purple Mark III Cast (original on the album "Burn"). David Coverdale and Deep Purple are not missing, just awesome.
"Sixteenth Century Greensleeves" - show here Rainbow, where to go with their music: a lot of bass, brilliant solos and power voice of Dio The potential in this song infected show Rainbow mainly live (even better on the "Live In Germany. "76, DCD).
"Still I'm Sad" - a Yardbirds cover, in the studio version yet as Instrumental (unfortunately) What's Dio does with that song on this album just awesome This is power rock from the 70's at its best, and it is even... this 11 minutes short.
This live album shines with a passion for gambling, which could no longer be heard especially after Dio's departure at Rainbow. Although the egocentric Ritchie Blackmore knows what he can, but is in its personnel policy Freaks. Because rauszuwerfen after this tour, Jimmy Bain and Tony Carey almost borders on stupidity.
