I had a huge heart for "Edenbrooke", the first novel by Julianne Donaldson. I looked forward to his second novel came out and it's done. I loved it. As Edenbrooke, I literally devoured (purchased Saturday and ended today, Tuesday). Less than giggles and winks between two heroes but the characters are still as endearing. Many complicity between these two characters, unspoken and deep friendship that over time will slowly turn into a deeper sense (especially for Kitty. For Henry, he loves since childhood but will feel each both sad and frustrated his marriage proposals by the constant refusal Kitty refuses to marry). The author aptly describes the feelings of the two heroes making them just so endearing. It's a beautiful love story where the reasons of the heart are struggling to get a place at a time when propriety and social rank dictate life. It welcomes Kitty it is no longer like a bird in its cage and she was able to fly freely. The book ends rather unexpectedly but I find it perfect, so romantic.
If you have had a real heart for "Edenbrooke", you'll love the second book by Julianne Donaldson who has the gift to write beautiful ballads.
