I too have had the same experience as others: (!) After 75 usually printed with a very limited amount of color pages should I replace the toner cartridge. Again: By default, I print the printer settings "black and white", most of my "color" pages are pages of text, in which individual words are red or green. I had very few photos printed. According to HP Toolbox I had printed 75 pages and can print more pages 75. Nevertheless, the HP CM1312nfi demanded a toner replacement. Only after setting the printer (system setup Print quality material Replace empty pass (why is this so hidden, who looks for the "Print Quality" ?; more about that in my review to the printer CM1312nfi)) made me the printer back print and prints Since then merrily color pages. For me, the fraud of HP, the user to suggest to throw away partially filled toner cartridges. Otherwise, adjust the quality, there are no stripes, no visible toner dust. For Original toner cartridges is the price OK, because there are many brands, where the toner is more expensive.
Extended comment: now a year has passed since I should change the toner. The old toner prints still color pages!
Supplement on 07.12.2011: 1 3/4 years after the message that I should replace the toner, I still print with the old toner cartridge. I have appointed 10 completely bebruckte A4 pages with pictures printed in the meantime, more than 100 pages printed with some colored text, that I have more color printouts printed since the Toner exchange notice than before. What explanation is there probably for this HP strategy ... That's why the downgrade to 1 star.
