But let's look first of all in the box, what all is included.
As a sender would like a receiver, each with a power supply, a short HDMI cable, short USB cable, a remote control incl. Batteries and various mounting accessories. The two power supply units, which can be supplied with a primary voltage of 100-240 Volt, each have four different attachments and can thus be operated in all countries. They both have a USB port.
With the carton are also a Quick Start guide and a CD with the manual in German.
The first test was started with my notebook and the television. First, the power supply unit connected to the transmitter and those connected via HDMI with the notebook. In the next step I have the receiver via HDMI connected to the LED TV and plugged the corresponding power supply. With the remote control of the TV set, I chose from the corresponding HDMI port and lo and behold, the signal was already there!
How easy was that?
Both devices are the way to a resolution of 1920x1080, so fullHD, fired. I was surprised how fast the connection was. I have not timed it, but there were a few seconds.
Since the receiver is powered via USB port with power, I have this connected to the USB port of the TV set. The TV does have bitched that it can not use the connected USB component, but after I wegklickte the message transfer was trouble-free. So this can also work, but is dependent on the device on which the signal is reproduced. It would save so a power supply unit and connecting it.
The station has a total of three HDMI ports. Two of them are inputs. The third member is an output. It is also possible to connect the transmitter to a video projector, a TV set or the like directly. Thus, one could attach two HDMI devices with only one HDMI input wired to a device and switch accordingly when needed. Even with the supplied remote.
The first real use was a presentation. It should have a projector and two laptops connected to a different resolution and it should be changed during the presentation repeatedly between the two sources.
Also mastered the team of BenQ with flying colors.
The different resolutions of the notebook (1680 x 1050 and 1920 x 1080) prepared no problem. Switching ran like clockwork. Only the projector needed two or three seconds to properly engage the image which had nothing to do with the WDP01.
The projectors used was not the way out of the house BenQ. With such a few other refinements are possible, which unfortunately I could not test.
Conclusion
In short, I say I'm thrilled!
Certainly around 300 euros a lot of money, but given the carefree and easy handling of the configuration I forgive five stars. And we're even honest: Would the logo of a nibbled fruit emblazoned on it, so hardly anyone would complain about the price.
