Update: 01/05/2015:
Since I now play with a gamepad, I have adapted the section "Control".
Installation:
----------------
First, the basic version is downloaded with just 2GB, then a patch with 400MB again. The download went with barely 600KB / s, so take a little.
Performance:
-------------------
S3 (i9300) with OmniRom (Android 4.4): It's close to the limit of playability. It jerky and trundles noticeably. but runs.
S4 (i9505) with CM12 (Android 5.0.2): all psyched up to shade: Again, it jerky, but runs softer than the S3. -> Quite playable.
Control:
----------------
Have both Kotor parts bought for release and played through the years umpteen times on the PC. So I'm used to the PC controller.
Must clearly say so, that makes it much more convenient to control the PC of course, as with the touchscreen. Is just in the nature.
But it is also matter of habit and with the phone you can play it well. The 2-3 gun sequences you have but need to adapt better.
Update 05/01/2015:
I play now with the iPega 9025 Bluetooth Gamepad (here on Amazon to acquire for about 23), and have to say that for the game to win amazing to play through.
The app is very well suited for the gamepad and it really feels as if you are playing this game on a console.
Especially the race was with the touch control bit annoying, this criticism is the Pad history.
Story:
-------
World class. Not for nothing has it then creamed off dozens of awards. Still a must. Brilliant turn and tells thrilling.
Even as I actually "Not Star Wars fan", did not bother the Star Wars theme)
Scores exchange
----------------------------
Under sdcard / Android / data / com.aspyr.swkotor / files there are the Saves folder with the savegames. The Saves Games can be copied from there and transferred to the PC (there in the \ Saves Kotor folder), and then continued to play there! (So you can easily create the Turretsequenz).
Score PC-> Smartphone works.
The hook
---------------
Besides hakeligen control (Due to the nature of the toy phone), there is really only one thing that I noticed something negative: The voice acting is only in English. The German language edition in the original was set to music really great! Very unfortunate.
Conclusion
-------
A Klassiger go.
In my opinion, Kotor still Bioware's best 3D RPG. Although the Mass Effect series is very strong, it does not come close to Kotor. A must! Of course, the PC version (which, incidentally, also runs on W7 64bit) to prefer), but this is a good alternative (especially with a Bluetooth gamepad).
