The installation was done quickly:
Unpack, connect, turn on.
The installation wizard starts automatically. There several WLANs have been displayed around (more than my PC found). Simply select the right and enter the wireless network key (this will take the longest and is somewhat tricky because of the dial has no detent and it also scrolls slightly above the desired letter), and already the IR38 connects easily. After an Internet radio station selection actually came to a total of less than 5 minutes the first sounds from the speakers of the system.
Below is some information:
- The aluminum front looks high, but is heavily brushed, so not as smooth as the usual fronts HiFi equipment
- I had to adjust the output level to maximum, otherwise the volume itself fully up amplifier would have been too quiet
- I can say little about the sound, the first impression was good
- The wireless reception properly and hours without a break, although I have only average signal strength in the living room (says my PC)
- The display is (very) small, but easily readable. It was not completely clean when delivered, even though the device itself was boxed and absolutely dust-free and clean
- Via the web portal How do I choose my favorite, as I have 2 minutes later turned the IR38, these were already saved
- The access code for the site appears a few seconds, you would have to take notes quickly. There, a new code will be displayed every time.
- I have all the channels that I wanted to hear, found in the portal, but you can add more
- About the TV channels in the group "Jazz" At first I was a little disappointed, until I found that most of the channels are stored under "Smooth Jazz"
Have fun with it!
Addendum:
I have the device now donated a high quality RCA cables, the sound has clearly won. Of course, the Internet station sound different well depending on data rate. Some you just can not hear because the quality is too bad, but the device can not do anything.
The investment in a high quality RCA cable is worth it!
