As years of direct Griller I had occupied me in recent months with the issue of indirect grilling / BBQ. After various forums scour and reports were read, much ultimately the choice on this grill device.
But why? The following points resulted (after Live View in the local hardware store) ultimately to buy:
- High-quality materials
- Good basic equipment, including stainless steel grill, grill grate foldable cover with lid hinge, turning coal grate for direct and indirect grilling
- Wide range of accessories available
- Solid construction and stable stand
- Comfortable working height
- Visually appealing
- Made in Germany
- No time Weber ball like everyone else ;-)
The packaging was very solid. The construction went very easily by hand, also due to the many pre-assembled parts. At the barbecue itself, everything is screwed properly, no riveted parts o. Ä.
The first burn went smoothly. According lid thermometer are about 300 degrees reached, which should in future also time enough for a pizza.
After now now multiple crickets I can draw the following conclusion:
The turning coal grate serves its purpose very well, additional coal trays or separators are not required. The temperature setting on the ventilation slide is functioning properly. The stainless steel grill can be cleaned easily after grilling.
The size is enough for 4-6 people, in my opinion. For larger rounds then the homemade swing grill is still used.
As the only hitherto been posed drawback, the cleaning of the brazier has been found. Coal and ash residues accumulate partially below the lower vent holes and this can be difficult to remove or block the there lower slider. Here would be a purification system á la Weber beneficial. But it provided that the locking screw of the lower ventilation slide attracts only hand tight, you can remove it for cleaning purposes within seconds and sweep the fire bowl accordingly.
Planned accessories:
- Cutlery holder
- Bratenthermometer
- Pizza stone
- Cast iron
- Grill brush
