Even if you are not a special Streisand fan, you should have this album in his collection: it is one of the best and most exciting compilations that I know. "Duets" presents a broad cross-section of large-Streisand successes from the 60s until today, and the fact that they can be heard in every song with another song partners who CD makes twice as good! Very mixed one finds the first hits of Streisand (eg "Happy Days" with Judy Garland), the great successes of the late seventies ("No More Tears" with Donna Summer) and some current admissions with stars like Bryan Adams and Barry Manilow. The recording quality is (as you would expect was ...) excellent, even with the older songs; Particularly appealing is the fact that not only ballads, the real strength of the Diva, but also disco hits, country songs are so represented (with Vince Gill) very different styles. All in all: There's no way around it ...!
