Looking for a mobile Bluetooth speaker I had invited Mr. and Mrs. Google Youtube to support and am surprisingly not equal ended up with the Sony products SRS-series. Various comparative tests and YT "auditions" let me - as a self-confessed fan of Bose - finally the SoundLink Mini pause. I already have several Bose products and have always been very happy with it. When going to the electronics wholesale market, I felt so comprehensively informed in advance (I was not stupid ;-)) and wanted to take the acclaimed Bose SoundLink mini times heard. When comparative auditioning various BT speakers the price range 100-200 euros I ended up staying with raised eyebrows at the Sony SRS X5 depend. Sony? With a sound that strikes the first impression of the Bose SL mini hands down? I did not expect, despite the fact that the Sony-part has about twice the volume of SL mini. Certainly much is very subjective when it comes to sound and I advise everyone to yourself to get an idea. But the sound balance of the X5 against the somewhat in some documents intently and tried therefore sounding Bose small box made me strike spontaneously. Especially since the market price of 149, - Euro was absolutely top. I then sample belongs at home extensively and was and am absolutely convinced of the sonority of the X5 in direct comparison with everything there for 150 euros on the market (if I could compare that, the stupid market was very well stocked). Compared with all? Well, almost everything ;-) Because after reading the first review and comparison of the X5 X3 have read here, I could not help me to order the X3 to compare. Because the only thing I could be accused of X5 personally was your size and weight, which is for me personally for mobile use borderline. Ah yes, the missing battery indicator perhaps, but which is absent in the X3, too. But what is about the only weakness which is incident spontaneously me. Judging from the ratio of sound to volume, wins the X3 comparison loosely to the X5. I have a variety of genres compared on both devices and made this part a few blind tests, so I knew thanks to the help of my better half in "experimental setup" is not always what box as grade airs. Honestly, if you do not direct AB comparison, both come off equally well. Without equalizer support (source iPhone5s with mp3s on high bit rate), the X5 sounds perhaps a bit "warmer" and flattering and has Teifbassbereich little more pressure, at least at moderate listening levels.
