Customer Review

I change my televisions in 3-4 year intervals ever made, this time it's a Sony KDL 50W685 become of my old 46 "Samsung LE46C750 to replace ..... and he's really good!

Firstly the image:

I sit about 2.5 meters away from the TV, in HD is the picture Tip Top and knackscharf in SD material very well.
In my opinion, slightly better than my old Samsung and way better than my 52 "Philips which I stand in the living room.
I also could not Clouding or translucent LED's remark that you noticed was quite disturbing with my Samsung in dark images ...
The default settings of the image are well done in my opinion Sony.
Sony has therefore done a good job here!

Picture ***** 5 stars!

For tone / speakers:

Due to the very flat design of the TV's should not expect a miracle of sound, I thought.
And I thought right. However, for normal TV sound are perfectly fine.
The tones sound for LCD TV standards quite full and round, I've got quite a few flat screens seen / heard that much worse manage that. I for my part have the Sony stand in the bedroom, and for the speakers / sound ranging all, but for the living room, I would recommend a Soundbar or AV receiver.

Sound **** 4 stars!

Installation / Set up the TV's:

To be brief, works perfectly and totally easy. All the necessary settings are made from the TV itself, integration into the local WLAN / NAS drives etc. works well thanks DNLA and straightforward, everything was recognized me right away. So it must be infected and there you go!

Installation ***** 5 Stars!

Smart TV function:

Bit sluggish but not slow, and works well. But since I do something for an Apple TV use for me less important. Nevertheless, Sony would be able to grow here in the CPU performance a few horsepower more. Although I must say that the Sony worlds acts faster than my 3 year old Samsung device.

Smart TV **** 4 stars

Integrated Satellite Tuner:

I receive my TV programs via satellite so is an integrated tuner of course practical. Although I had my doubts in the beginning regarding changeover times, as one has heard often that the built in TV tuner are quite comfortable as far as the switch to the next program. For people who like to be by zapping a no go.
So I let surprise me, and I was surprised! in a positive way!
Firstly, the tuning is good and great automatic list sorting of channels found. All German free TV stations are automatically packed in the first places. So you have not only one hundred locked Pay TV or Call Me An channels on the front PlaƤtzen you can not see or want. 1 = ARD HD, ZDF HD = 2 and so on ... So I like that!
The switching times all I can say .... I realize no significant difference to my satellite Reciever! Prima!
For me, the built-in tuner, making it an adequate substitute for an external satellite reciever and once the highlight of Sony's! To this end, I would 6 Star award, if there was the!

Sat Tuner ***** 5 Stars!

Stand / suspension:

The part hangs on my wall, what you use the supplied stand as a suspension. This works very well and the TV depends stable on the wall and can be combined with simple handles hang or depend. A star deduction there but because Sony omitted for some reason on a VESA compatibility. For whatever reason ?!

Stand / hanger **** 4 stars

Appearance:

Top! Simply top! and chic! Narrow (approximately 1 cm) aluminum frame and low depth. Very high-quality appearance! What more do you want!

Optics ***** 5 stars

Other:

Sony puts his TV at even 4 passive 3D glasses, which I do not take for granted.
The remote control is typical Sony (kennste one kennste all :-)) and fits comfortably in your hand. The layout is clear, I'll come along very well with it.

All in all, me most of the integrated satellite reciever that convinces DNLA functionality and the very good image and the elegant appearance the most.

For this he gets an A final grade of 5 stars *****.
I am very satisfied and would recommend it without hesitation!
