I loved the two previous books Florent Chavouet. Yet I long to acquire it. An author gifted the travelogue and autobiography is not necessarily for fiction, and I confess that the subject does not appeal to me at all. And then I ended up cracking by saying that at worst, I could always admire the beautiful designs.
Verdict: unsurprisingly, the graphical point of view, "Small cuts Shioguni" is superb with his illustrations with colored pencils and its division as unconventional as that of "Tokyo Sanpo" or "Manabe Shima." Narratively, I found it very clever with its diverging testimonies, not revealing the truth in small steps. Yet, as I expected, the story left me unmoved. It's beautiful, it's done, but I have no favorite.
