The first bird baths that came to my mind, were the metal. However, since bronze bowls are priceless, in fact there were only the shells of cast iron.
Unanimously was in these shells but wrote that they start to rust quickly, and you can not change as fast as the water, as it is rusty again. That should it therefore also not be.
Now there are potions that look as if they were also metal / bronze but are made of plastic. This I found many positive -despite Bewertungen- but not convincing for us as "looks like" is not mine. Then maybe something honest.
And so I ended up at the terracotta bowl. Good reviews, good ground, good facts, good price. After some comparisons I decided for this.
Shortly afterwards came the package. Fortunately, we did not receive equal a clink and clatter from the sealed box and the same after opening, you could see that the dish was VERY well packed.
The shell is in two parts: shell and bird. The latter is fitted with a small spike in a hole in the shell. This is -To here a little vorzugreifen- the only tiny gripe: The bird is a great toy for (small) children and find the way not always return to the shell. Had he better fix, he stayed where he should be.
The shell itself (and also the bird) are very well made. No reason for criticism. Hard, hard, flawless.
After testing, the cup so came right into the garden and was flooded.
What more can I say? We still have no reason to say anything bad. The shell is just fine and looks great. For our pleasure - even if the birds have not yet accepted extensively.
