The installation is a bit of haggling. It is always well for devices or a button over costs 1000 ... but after a few attempts, you get there. Better to first test with two one next to the other: it avoids run 6 times from one to the other.
In terms of performance, the 500 mbps advertised are theoretical. The Dlink utility announced about 250mpbs with 2 in the same room (I think 2 taken depend on the same fuse). But once placed (one upstairs, the other downstairs, at the other end of the house), the Dlink utility no longer announces that a good 127Mbps. That said, it's certainly better than nothing, and a quarter of installation time is much better than the idea of pulling the cables. Moreover, it is likely that the utility measure DLink the 127 mbit in raw throughput (the number of bits that pass raw), and do not take into account the additional overhead of Ethernet, IP, TCP ... Still 100Mbps, it is still sufficient in almost all cases.
So nothing to complain about, except I do not like the hypocritical marketing. 5x more than the reality is * hard * rounded. And even put one next to the other (which makes no sense), we arrived at a good net 200mbps. Shame on this point.
This also means that it is best to avoid announcing equivalent 100Mbps.
