Japanese from Zero!

So far, I've bought just one book out of three for Japanese learning and I plan on purchasing the rest of the books in this series. It is based on the very well known and is ideal for website YesJapan.com self-study. The title suits the content of the book. It starts from zero, Gradually introducing new concepts and grammar points. The Explanations are rather plain and straightforward. No boring grammar lingo. Probably not suitable for Those, who seek for depth to Grammar Explanations.

I love the approach it uses to learning the hiragana chart. The first two chapters of the book are all in Romaji, but in every lesson it presents new characters and so next lesson Roman letters are Replaced with the characters thathave been learned already. By the end of the book, you will be able to read and write all Hiragana characters. Second Book Covers Katakana and third starts with Kanji.

The only disadvantage Is that it has no CD. In order to listen to the pronunciation, one has to check their website Where They have Actually sounds. But then again, you have to pay a monthly subscription to access the audio / video files. The book, therefore, has a few typing errors, but They are insignificant.

All in all, "Japanese from Zero!" is fun and entertaining.
Personally, I enjoyed it very much.
