In deciding this issue, the debate between archaeologists and linguists is not new and it is quite legitimate. What is less so is caricaturing the positions of the proponents of the existence of a community "Indo-European" original, probably established in the steppes that extend north of the Black Sea, or coarsely resort to "reductio ad hitlerum" to disqualify anyone working on this issue.
The ridiculous amalgam established with the Nazis, racism and all the deadly sins that we imagine, the denunciation of the works of Jean Haudry and assimilation of all the researchers involved in this field to a ghostly "International racist" speak volumes about the excesses which can lead the excesses of the "historically correct".
Philippe Parroy, in the No. 76 NRH.
