Weather Systems is only the continuation of the repression against kosenquente path towards more Prog to getrageneren arrangements to more sound Wall - and yes, if you like to view it as such, to more radio capability. But now I see a time the radio station in Germany "on air" which plays ANATHEMA? In this respect, I will "mainstream" just does not apply. Or if to say "mainstream" that even a mortal can hear the music, access to - and ultimately enjoy it - takes, then yes, meinetewegen is WEATHER SYSTEMS a "mainstream product."
With but care less, because I can only recommend to the back of the CD forward. The first two songs, the bipartite UNTOUCHABLE I and II is just awesome, especially the second part each ersthaften radio program would be good to face (which brings us to the unspeakable mainstream discussion again). UNTOUCHABLE PART II goes just under the skin - the exchange of voices of Vincent Lee and Douglas are wonderful (unfortunately you can not hear in the 30sec snippets on Amazon). THE GATHERING OF THE CLOUDS is live even better, but is also available on CD already worth every second. And so it continues unabated. THE STORM BEFORE THE CALM is from ANATHEMA drummer John Douglas - class. And THE BEGINNING AND THE END is my personal favorite.
A wonderful CD - and a warm greeting to the doubters :-) I can only recommend the CD to listen in peace - and also live time to look at the opportunity ANATHEMA. That's a real experience, the guys dominate also live their instruments - and not just behind the studio door.
