Before the release of the album I've heard through the Good Friday releases on Kanye's homepage already much of the material. The complete album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" does, however, in its entirety, a significant better, if not brilliant impression on me! It is a very rounded album in which there is virtually no qualitative Einknicke. Whether more aggressive songs like "Monster" and "Power" or quiet songs like "Blame Game" and "Gorgeous" the plate is perfectly balanced. With just under 70 minutes of playing time and 13 pieces of the album is by no means short. The time comes, however, really just flew over, for me always a sign of a really good album. ;)
About the music so you have to actually say no more. The is really very good and this seems now also the more traditional German media (eg time, FAZ, Spiegel) to recognize because they overwhelm the album with praise. And it would certainly not have been difficult the album before the eyes of the unsuspecting reader to go away or at least not quite as strong praise due to the Taylor Swift incident and Obama-Jackass comment. Quality seems just to convince but, even if it comes from a hopeless egomaniac standing out in the public and perhaps should rein to something more. ;)
What I do not like, however, to the deluxe version is the enclosed DVD. The short film "Runaway" you could already lead to Kanye's website in their entirety to heart. Although the film for me is a bit too pompous, it is (and in particular Selita Ebanks as a "phoenix from the ashes") but nice to look at. What, however, is not at all clear is that the video is not in the 16: 9 can be found full-screen widescreen format on the DVD. I expect on a DVD no HD quality, but in a time when hardly anyone with a 4: has traveled 3 screen through the media landscape a 16: 9 screen, which in 4: was crushed 3 image with black bars nothing to search. And against the background that you can watch the video in excellent quality on the official homepage.
I chose the album here on Amazon yet to award full marks. Even if the bonus features do not deserve their name, so the deluxe version is probably simply because of the nicer packaging their money worth. ;)
