"All Summer Long" and "Born Free" ...
now have their "Part Three" ...
Just as this rhyme, based on the new single "First Kiss", it thus brings Kid Rock to the point, what other Southern - or so-called West Coast - have made rock bands from the USA in the 70s and 80s. While many heroes from the old days who like to serve as a template Kid Rock, are currently not so popular, it creates Kid Rock skillfully to transfer the country and southern rock to the present day. And thus has even success ... However, even with the ability to steal mercilessly ... "All Summer Long" is the sequel of "Sweet Home Alabama". "Born Free" sounds interchangeable by Bob Seger and finally "First Kiss" with the "Summer Of 69-reef" at the beginning.
Uppity ... But definitely wanted!
Also the whole thing is of course something commercial oriented than the original Southern - Sound .... But that was the Westcoast- and Southern Rock in the 70s and 80s basically actually also.
If I CCR (due ...) or Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bob Seger, The Eagles, Doobie Brothers, America and Poco listen to it and so on, which all sounds very similar to the present time. But it was a very specific and very popular style of music in the genre "rock" of his time ... And that is as it is ...
Who would implement authentic, so you have to stick to it. Other directions, with whom Kid Rock previously experimented and made to "crossover" have lost nothing at all in the songs. Apparently Kid Rock has found his musical path, with whom he also comes clear. And he does it very well, and he apparently also has its fun ... and me too!
The opener ... The pink cover with the Girlie-mouth and the balance ... Here a grazing again very cool in all old-school - Rock - clichés. Kid Rock served again technically very good the good old Southern and country rock, which he has so Ã'hnlich operated at the last albums to excess. Again, according to my own way.
It is Southern by the rod, often knitted quite simple. Okay ... but clean, authentic and very well done. Other highlights include "Is Not Enough Whiskey", "Drinking Beer With Dad", "Jesus And Bocephus" and "Foad" where he almost sounds like Jimmy Barnes! But his voice suits every (!) Song on this CD perfectly.
Kid Rock has now matured to serious rockers. Perhaps is the clear reference to this small example: Bob Seger acts on his CD "Born Free" with. Similarly, Kid Rock is very very good shape to John Fogerty's latest album (Born On The Bayou). And Bob Seger sings it just creeps producing the old CCR song "Who'll Stop The Rain" ... full circle ...
The CD comes in time for the warm season. Should it be boring times, I can only recommend, then switch over to a balmy summer day after a long listening session of "First Kiss" to "Quit Pro Quo" or "Bula Quo". Or hang one or another Fogerty-plate. I can guarantee you ... The summer evening with barbecue, sausages and beer is saved ...
