What can you say about the Beatsteaks - basically isses no matter what they do, because they can do anything good! Proof of this is also Launched, their second album, which nevertheless already very different from the first work 48/49. The music has matured - which does not mean that punk is immature, but in this case it shows definitely that the steaks in the two years between 48/49 (1997) and Launched (1999) have undergone quite a development process , Although the same unbridled and fiery temperament is still in songs like Panic, Excited and Happy Now? (And that is quite welcome, because it's quite simply rocks), but Shut Up Stand Up, Go, Shiny Shoes and 2 O'Clock are already far more receptive to tolerance sensitive ears. Here it is on the second album only a German song, no more rock'n'roll, but that can get over. Mietzi's Song (a song for Arnim's sister) shows the sensitive side of the steaks, as well as ... And Wait and fake; in the latter, the tears can ever roll, which is due to the slightly desperate text and the matching melody. Two final delicacies are on the one hand the cover of Manowar songs Kings Of Metal (the covers of the songs are the steaks really awesome; you visit a concert and convince yourself of it) and the second that which comes after the last song: Studio Impressions, namely in the finest Berlin dialect.
