As an avowed Maggot I naturally appreciate the brilliant sounds of Slipknot very high. I had quite a bit about Corey Taylor's second band, Stone Sour heard and got me out of curiosity accordingly this CD. And that was probably one of the best choices, since I hear Slipknot, Stone Sour meet because even my tastes rather than the 9-member trash / speed band. Stone Sour are characterized by Corey Taylor's distinctive voice (For Stone Sour, he yells not only, he also sings as on the fourth Slipknot album "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses"), mixed with brutal but harmonious instrumentation รก la Drowning pool. And this combination goes on wonderfully. To increase the guys with the first song "Get Inside" very violent one, then nachzulegen to my opinion the most brilliant song on the album with "Orchids". I was particularly impressed also the quiet and beautifully staged "Bother" (Track 8). The three bonus tracks on this special edition of Stone Sour are like the rest of the album just awesome. Every song is a roller coaster ride and Corey's poem "Omega" (Track 13) completes the whole wonderful from. Wealth of variety is of paramount importance in Stone Sour, I look forward to the next album. The included DVD fits wonderfully and makes this CD a must buy, not just for Slipknot- and Drowning Pool fans.
