The game itself is based on the first Larry game from the distant past, of which it already gave the mid-nineties a graphical update. Since then, the game itself is not too much has changed. It has revised the graphics, packed the voice output to adjust the music a little yacht for love and a couple of new venues and jokes reingenommen. The actual game remained largely unchanged and that is where the problems begin. Larry had to the original nor conduct with keyboard commands, so the completed now a hopelessly encumbered mouse wheel to perform the actions.
The consequence of this is that you can examine all the time in the "wheel spins" to lead only to dialogue, or even things. From today's perspective simply uncomfortable. Then we come to the topic of speech: I loved the German Synchro from part 6 and 7, and now you have to make do with the original English speakers who like me not as good by far. While there are German subtitles, but are cruel translated especially in the puns so that various punchlines no longer ignite. Subtitles so please switch off!
The game has been funded by crowdfunding and it shows unfortunately. The new graphic style is frighteningly sterile and can with modern 2D Adventures not compete (Deponia, InnerWorld etc.). The beloved of the last parts of Easter Eggs were almost completely rationalized. This is doubly bitter because Larry fires every minute out lewd obscenities, but the game itself is very tight-lipped.
That may be in the sense of the original, but from today's perspective it seems silly when even in games like Mass Effect more bare skin can be seen, as in the former scandal Adventure.
So what remains? Lovers of the original can reminisce again. But a step forward does not Larry, on the contrary: The verschlimmbesserte control annoying, just like the silly age query beginning. For this, the time already failed hunt come after the required change to the game machine and the everywhere visible budget bottleneck. One may not imagine what would have happened if only half of the sum would have been reached together (the target had also met).
Should there be a remake, then please with more polish, more courage for retreading and a reasonable location. So you have to say, unfortunately, that Larry Lowe and should retire. Prefers to play a round of yacht for love (Love for Sail), since you have more of it.
