Lens quality: Unusable

Unfortunately, I've been pretty erntäuscht of the image quality of the Lumix DMC-G2K with lens 14-42mm: The camera managed with this objective not to produce sharp images. To exclude own blunder, I have several aperture and ISO series shot with tripod - with default settings and under different lighting conditions. Nothing doing: In terms of sharpness, it has veloren against my 10-year-old Ixus (2.1MP). In particular, in the edge regions. With diverse settings (from OIS, Shäfte high NR down, ...) could be indeed slightly improve the result. But still not satisfactory.
Whether they were a weakness / failure of AF or to errors in the lens, I do not judge at this point, I did not have a second objective. But I'm going for the lens as the cause for the lack of sharpness. Therefore, "nevertheless" 3 stars because:
The result struck me as the more than regrettable, because I judge the operating concept, the size and the scope of functions as very successful.

I had bought the camera according to the results of Stiftung Warentest. Since this model has done so well in this test, I suspect to have caught a "Monday Model" of the lens. Since the lens is not otherwise assessed "as the best", I suppose, in addition, that there are strong variations in quality.

Recommendation:
My recommendation therefore: Do not buy this G2 kit, but with a better lens body. Or even better, or in addition: waiting (June) on the G3. Here target with respect to. Have done some image quality.

Note:
One or the other may feel it is unfortunate that such a lack of quality (and so I classify it a) to such a negative evaluation leads. But even that is for me with a good product to: Konstanz in quality.
