After a long wait Limp Bizkit has finally sent the CSATHFW successor to the race! Finally...
After I had the disc first heard I was rather little disappointed, the panel simply lack the Groove of Limp Bizkit has been awarded! The exchange of harsh aggressive riffs and melodic parts and the voltage generated from missing this time (except "Eat You Alive") in almost all songs!
But I think that was full intention! Limp Bizkit want to get away from
Rap-rock, which was used in recent years by all sorts of "bands" to land a quick hit.
As I said at first listen it is unfamiliar, Limp Bizkit sound no longer so, as usual, they sound different: more rock less Rap!
The more I listen to the CD the better I like the plate, but the loss of Wes Borland is not to be missed, the guitar playing of Mike Smith is opposed to Borland's more conventional and boring! The boy just is not as creative as Wes! He can not fill 100% that emerged at the end hole in the band!
But that may well no! You have to probably change only ...
Among the best songs:
"Eat You Alive" opened the CD. Super song to let it rip! "Gimme the Mic" is the toughest for me, and one of the
best songs of the CD, it is strongly reminiscent of hot dog and is also similar across well! Another highlight is "Down Another Day" or "Build a Bridge". Both are rather quieter songs with a catchy chorus! "Red Light-Green Light" is finally a good hip-hop track, which is better by a mile than the rap track from the last album! No wonder with Snoop Dog was this time a rounder at the start!
To call on are still the fantastic ballad "Behind Blue Eyes", which will be the next single, and the song "Head for the barracade" letting it rip again correctly and strongly to the good old "Three Dollar Bill Y'all "times recalls! The other songs are ok but nothing earth-shattering, Borland missing just ...
In any case, the plate has got a total of too slow, I would have liked more harder and fewer slower songs! Therefore, "only" four stars!
A good overall Limp Bizkit album just putting on a new take on well-tried .... well "results may vary"!
PS: Get the album with the bonus DVD, it's worth it!
