The very idea of ​​a stable UPS for the Raspberry Pi is very good: Easy with low batteries emergency solution realized (power failure, sabotage ...); the Pi shuts down properly, you get an email when this happens, or if the batteries have become weak. BUT: This works only by tinkering. The documentation is partially kept very short; an "Out-Of-The-Box" solution that is not definitely. I have a feeling that has been saved here on time and development work has been transferred to the customer. Ok tinker, I do indeed like to, but for a full-bodied advertised product that is definitely too little preparatory work of the developers. A very important criterion for me was that the UPS minimal servicing needs - ideally every few years the set of batteries and you're done. And that does not work reliably! Whether high-quality, new battery (2,600 mAh Ansmann; new) or fresh alkaline batteries, whether 6 or 8 in the battery holder - the PiUSV reports "like to like fun", that the batteries are low. Removing in this state, the external power supply, the Raspberry Pi crashes easily. Super, thank you. So no, dear CW2 team. The forum "micro ..." you will find an interesting discussion on the quality of PiUSV. There is an urgent need for improvement. The current product is in my experience very immature for still and should not be sold so. This review does not apply to quality with this seller, there is a general problem with the items themselves.
