How heavy is this tripod? 1.1 kg as Amazon specification (= catalog 2012) or 1:25 kg (Catalog 2013)? And how much? 148 cm (2012) or 144 cm (2013)? Now I want to bring light into the darkness.

My interpretation:
Sirui has previously produced the stands for a EU company. Then they started their own. I suspect that this EU company FEISOL was. The products are very similar and the product development. But FEISOL sells tripods with no center pillar and therefore indicates the weight even without center column. Sirui sells tripods though with center column, but out of habit had by 2012 FEISOL definition retained (to slight indication is yes verkaufsfördend ...) and because of the many Beschwärden, negative reviews and perhaps some returns have then in 2013 but the right weight Sang Eben made.

The lengths do not agree entirely. Where to measure the working height is more difficult to weigh the weight. In addition, it also depends on how much one presses during spreading of the legs. I've done it so as in life. So legs as far apart and above with 2-3 kg (= weight of ball head + camera + lens) pressed. That could explain the continuous ~ 1 cm lower height values ​​to catalog 2013. As 148 cm working height according to the catalog in 2012 (= indication Amazon) comes about, I do not know.

I bought the wagon version with the K-20X ball head.
The total weight is of course not 1.5 kg but 1672 kg (head alone 410 g).
The head does not come with the release plate TY-60 as described, but with TY-50X.
60 is longer and has "Sliding Stopper" 50X is shorter and wider through the strap mount.
I would have the long-hand, but thanks to Amazon goodwill I can perhaps 70 to purchase the plate with the credit.

By the way, the combination price in mid-December was the same as the stand alone. So might be worth waiting and watching ...

Experience with the head: the negative things the other reviews I have not found me. Keep doing it themselves really well in high position. When tightening the image section does not move away. For my needs perfectly adequate, I use the head rarely.

I was looking for a lightweight tripod mainly takeaway and for video. Therefore, the TX series, which is not as high as NX (for video you need lower than for photo) and it easily. The version with 16-25 mm diameter seemed too thin and more shaky. Therefore, the 19-28 mm version. For light weight Carbon is mandatory.

If you want to have it even easier and is ready to bend down, to buy the T0X series. For photographing the NX series is better (higher, but slightly heavier). For me ideal: not too hard to take, for video good height, in photography there is the brief supplementary column for additional height and I have also found a halfway viable solution.
For me the price was right, now it should hold only much longer ...
