Audio Technica's always been known for its world-class pickup. The listener is somewhat reminiscent of the early MC-sampler: Very clean mids and highs with massive bass. On my Sony MP3 player (NWZ 639) I have the bass control therefore withdrawn slightly. Otherwise the marriage lightweight headphones can also compete well with heavier headphones to the home system, but for classical music, I would rather tend to Beyer or AKG. Pricewise the Audio Technica is rather low with about 30.
