Like punk from a gramophone ...

Violent Femmes - a disc to which I became aware through a good friend - is, though busy masculine, really almost violent: Despite a deliberately staged minimalism disc sprayed (by the way the band's debut) just so full of energy and liveliness.
I have rarely (musically seen, of course) in various Clash songs or even with the Sex Pistols as much focused determination to be heard and felt.

Violent Femmes is really great class and has not been in vain immortalized in several music collection books. Frankly, there is not a single song on the disc that is not like me, why Violent Femmes probably effortlessly as a concept album (though a bit without concept) works ...

Exactly, it is probably what makes this disc something special: It sounds easy, but it is not bland - a kind of effortless "Chill Punk" ("soft punk" would sound probably a bit mischievous at this point) may, as the world above and (I think at least) has probably never heard more then again ...

Violent Femmes should definitely be on the shelf of every music lover and also move an average of enthusiastic listeners times: listen ...
