Wonderful tribute!

I was a big fan of long Renaud. I listened less regularly lately, because my old albums had lost their freshness through being listened to repeatedly. More surprisingly, more discovery. Tired, yes, maybe. I was reserved for the announcement of this album. I both want a Renaud "cooler" but fear of losing the way which made me appreciate so much.

At first listen, I was very surprised and I confess, rather destabilized. I like or dislike? Difficult to answer as this album is different from those of Renaud. And yet ... the second and third listen, I see resurface the poet, the lover of life, a critical observer of society: Renaud I so loved!

I was extremely disappointed with the cover album of JJ Goldman: I only saw imitations, gold, JJG no equal. Here it's very different! Each singer has interpreted fully, none copied Renaud (except maybe 2 songs). That's why this album is unsettling at first. Yet soon, Mister Renaud reappears and there, I love !!!

I was disappointed enough of the cover of "When the wind blows," which, like all artists sing together, is a pale imitation of the song of Renaud. Or, walk exactly on the same rails, it does not do: I much prefer the original ... Ditto for "Hexagon" which sounds too much like the old version and has brought me nothing ... By cons, although I'm not a fan of Carla Bruni, nor Grand Corps Malade, or Benjamin Biolay, they showed me "is when we are going where," "Medal" or "second generation" (superb !) from a different angle: I loved because I rediscovered beads, words I had never heard before like this, second degrees, different interpretations ... What happiness !!

This album does not necessarily make a tribute to the singer Renaud, but Renaud Mister, the man, the poet ... I loved retrieve dusted songs in their interpretation, but always modern and impactful.

Renaud, what a great artist you are !!!! I almost forgot ... Come write for our young artists, Renaud, you can still keep us warm, come on I'm waiting ...
