So far with my stock of docks and external enclosures Unfortunately I had the problem that Linux (tested up to kernel 3.5) those SATA hard drives that were larger than 2.5 TB, not recognized has and capacity to unplugging a CPU core while 100% CPU has.
But not this dock: it works flawlessly with USB 3.0 and large capacity storage on Linux. Tested with a 3TB WD30EZRX-00DC0B0. I am very pleased to have with this article finally found a working solution!
