Live at the Cove (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Since 1967 he lives in Detroit and celebrates his Blues, unpolished, angular and raw. His blues reminiscent of the juke joints of the South and the live pubs in the ghettos of Chicago. Class band that interprets timeless music at his side, sensitive, groovy and technically on a high level - the perfect contrast to Shas black vocals and reduced to essentials harp playing. A strong live album

Harmonica Shah, the man lives the blues, born in California, grew up with his grandfather, Sam Dawson, in Texas who was a famous blues musician. From him he got to know the music. 1967, however, he went to work to Detroit by 15 years at Ford and then as a taxi driver. But the Blues did not let go. First it was only small clubs where he performed but later he could live off his music. 2000 he released his first album "Motor City Mojo". Live at the Cove was incorporated in Canada, Jack de Keyzer plays guitar, Alec Fraser on bass and Al Cross on drums.
Imagine: A Club, soft lighting, drinks on the table and beautiful women on the dance floor .... to play harmonica on Shah but a wonderful idea so it may have been, and exactly this feeling arises when you hear the album ,
I would have forgiven even 6 star.
