This book has its good side: like Millienium, it instills a delicious Swedish atmosphere. Unlike another reviewer, I found me excellent translation, I never felt that it was reading a translation. The plot is good, solid, entangling several dramas into each other. The narration, though a bit slow, is nice. A good thriller.
But there are some flaws though: some slow first. Then the end of the book, which reveals a drama, flat, in the last 5 pages, without one feels the suspense up and investigation. Finally coarse artifices: the investigator who finds a clue, but then suddenly break in the narrative, and this index is not shared with the reader. Good suspense that's not it.
Rather than elongated cocktail, I would have preferred a drier and stronger drink.
