So I came across these protectors. At first, they inspired confidence: officially licensed, upper guard that covered the entire 3D display, method of application so-called "easy" ... I have therefore commissioned hoping they would be performing and of good quality. Until their arrival, I watched the video on Youtube which showed the different stages of implementation of the two guards.
A few days later, there it is: I have finally! The "packaging" is nice, not too bulky. But hey, this is not the most important for this type of product!
The package contains: -the two protectors
-a "Soft Card" (this helps remove air bubbles)
-a antistatic cloth
-a user guide
When the protectors seen for the first time, we say: "This is weird!". Indeed, several pieces of plastic are superimposed on each other: the whole, therefore form the various stages of installation. There are also some which are colorful: history of facilitating the reading of written instructions on the protective itself. Before beginning, I have been searching my finger traces of anti-spray. I sprayed a little on the two screens and then I wiped the liquid with a soft, dry cloth. After I removed the remaining dust with my anti-static cloth, more efficient than the one supplied with the product. Then I read thoroughly the instruction manual that explained the steps of the installation in detail.
So I started with the bottom screen, touch. I've completed the steps in order. Once asked my protector, I notice something, there are plenty of bubbles. But not air bubbles, only bubbles dust. Same for the upper screen, but now it's even worse: there are also air bubbles on the edge of the speakers and the protector itself. IMPOSSIBLE to remove !!!!!!! I even tried to remove the protector to remove dust, but others accumulate on the adhesive part of the protector. In short, I threw them both ... = (
Later, I was redeemed in a store that sold that kind of product. This time, they were the brand Bigben. I laid in my being careful. And there was no different, it's a hassle to ask. I finally kept the bottom one which was properly laid, but the top one ended in the trash (really ...).
I would just add a little comment at the laying of Hori technique. This technique is not bad, but the engineers are a little beasts. They do not think the fact that, when asked protectors, must pull a tab which will itself put the protector correctly. At this point, I think, that new dust burst on the filter, as it changes place.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this product. But Hori is a brand that, usually, is synonymous with quality. I would just give a small additional advice to future buyers of shields.
-Buy Filters of any mark (except Hori). Make still make filters that do not arise with glue, as this can do damage!
-Do Paste a filter for the touch screen. After you do what you want, but I think it is not necessary to put one on the 3D screen: it might affect the visualization of 3D and in addition, one never touches the screen .
-If You have fingerprints on the top screen, wipe it immediately. I strongly advise you to clean it daily with an anti-static cloth and wash it weekly with a soft, dry cloth and a product "Screen Cleaner" (clean screen). Following this small talk, your screen will always FLAWLESS! Do the same for the touch screen, it's not because we have a protector that should not keep the screen.
I hope my pad has not been too long! Enjoy your Nintendo 3DS and watch for screen protectors, especially this one, I highly recommend !!!
