Unfortunately, my unit was broken, the radio reception was not working, so I had to send back the clock. Otherwise appealing Alarm Clock, easy to read from the front - when viewed obliquely from below (as is normal when it is on the bedside table and the head on the pillow is) hardly legible, even with very good lighting. The lighting switches automatically at dusk (switched off) when the alarm at the current depends. In pure battery operation, the key must be above the illumination (blue LED) briefly pressed for a few seconds (pretty short) lights. All the buttons are easy to operate and make a stable impression. Snooze is on the large button activates the above, the final switch a small slide switch on the rear panel must be pressed. In the evening then re-enable not forget! A 24 automatic cut would be more practical. 2AA batteries are included. The alarm is very loud and commences immediately with full volume. I prefer when the signal begins softly and then slowly louder. Mostly I can then turn off the alarm before the full volume is reached. Ultimately, this is also the reason why I have not exchanged it against an intact unit but returned for a refund.
