At the heart of Hurricane Katrina, the destinies cross, characters who should never have met will be found, lost, reborn, or ... die. After leaving his wife Rose and his son Byron, six years earlier, he returns in the footsteps of his past in search of forgiveness which yet he does not believe. Will he find them in this maelstrom where no more landmark works, where taboos of class and gender have suddenly collapsed? And Josephine, the old Negress almost centenary, what will happen to him? Forced to abandon her house, she will wander in the city, without knowing (or not knowing too!) She found down the road. And yet, thanks to her, who no longer believed in life too, many people will be saved. Many other characters roam this story, beautifully told in a narrative device (one could speak of "montage" or "sticking") that never leaves boredom set in.
