For a camera in this size, it provides an amazing picture quality. Even images in total darkness are quite clearly visible, although the infrared range is somewhat limited, since only 4 infrared LEDs are available.
As with most cameras of this type, you can view the images either in the Web browser or in an app for Android or iPhone.
The camera can be set to receive automatically images once they registered noise or movement. Respect. the movement registration you can choose from 25 areas within the image section.
Once it has been triggered, it takes on either still images or video clips and send them either by email or transfers them to any PC / Server.
If you choose the transfer to a PC / server, the camera can be configured to automatically overwrite old recordings. Which is very convenient, but it makes it easier to manage.
The camera has an integrated repeater which can be switched on when required. I myself have but this disabled because I do not need him. Herewith, it is possible to let the camera function as wireless amplifiers, and thus increase the range of the network.
A disadvantage can perhaps cite the transfer software for live video. This is Java based and leads on my pc to pop up two security warnings every time I start the live video. The Active-X control, which is used for Internet Explorer, and not signed by an unknown party. This also leads to the corresponding security alerts.
The establishment of the W-LAN can be made only when the camera is connected via cable to the router. At the same time the wireless operation does not work while the camera is connected to the router. This is a bit confusing and cumbersome to set up.
