"Les Miserables". In my opinion, here the timeless musical. I was 12 when my parents took me to Paris to see the show. Then we bought the disc. I found myself humming the songs even many years later. And thanks to the Internet (... at Amazon.com), I could find the CD and therefore all these songs that have rocked my childhood. The emotion is still intact. Listening to much more modern musicals (Gone with the Wind, Romeo and Juliet ...) and apart from perhaps Notre Dame de Paris, I could never regain the magic of "Les Miserables." "The air of Misery", wonderfully played by Rose LAURENS, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful French songs ever made to date. Just for this one, and then for all others, we must discover and rediscover this album is also a tribute to the work of Victor Hugo.
